I’ve been on a dark romance and mafia kick lately and I was not disappointed by Dafne Kross‘s Bleach and Bloodlust. The book is part of the Daylight Syndicate series, but can be read as a standalone. The rest of the series is worth checking out if you like books with vampire/human couples and don’t mind a little gore. Each one features a different couple, but this one is by far my favorite.

This books stands out as being a pairing I’ve never seen before – a mafia crime scene cleaner and a mafia killer. It’s a pairing I didn’t know I needed, but now I want to read more. The cleaner, who goes by the moniker Ghost, is used to being invisible. That changes when he catches the interest of one of the mafia’s most violent Capos, Erasmus.

The monster I’ve been worshiping from afar has finally caught me, and he’s about to show me that making a mess is much more fun than cleaning it.

I very much recommend this book if you’re a fan of vampire romance or dark romance.
