The Firm series by Cora Rose and Lark Taylor grabbed me and held on until I finished all the books in the series in a matter of days. Currently only three books, with a fourth coming out in early September, the series is set around an almost mafia-like organization called the Firm. Working from the shadows the Firm rules the town of St. Dismas, meeting out justice for those who have gotten away with foul deeds, helping the poor and desperate, and fulfilling the requests made to them. But, there’s always a price for their help.

The first book, Covenant, follows the story of Wyatt when, in desperate need of money to take care of his injured brother, he makes a request to the firm for money to get physical therapy rehabilitation for his brother. His price is nothing like he expected. He has to pretend to be married to someone from his past, Matthais, a member of the elite Buckingham family.

From there each book focuses on one of Matthais’s brothers: Cade in Deviant, Wylder in Vigilant, and soon Samson in Allegiant. In each book one of the brothers finds the love of their life in an unexpected way and the cast of characters grows. Each book gives us more details of the world of St. Dismas and the work of the Firm.

Overall, these books were a wonderful read. I had a hard time putting them down and each gave a glimpse of the next book that left the reader wanting more. I’m very much looking forward to Allegiant when it comes out on September 10, 2026.  Both Lark Taylor and Cora Rose have great writing styles individually and when they come together the writing is just wonderful. The worldbuilding is rich, the characters diverse, and the plot strong.
